WAYNE KAIN

Wayne C. Kain, of Neenah, age 80, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013, in his home with his family by his side. He was born October 11, 1932 in Oconto Falls, WI, son of the late Roy and May (Gonion) Kane. Wayne was a graduate of Appleton High School in 1952. He then enlisted in the National Guard in December of 52, and was honorably discharged in 1955, after having served as a sharp-shooter and cook. Wayne was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Gojmerac on October 12, 1957, at St. Anns Church in Rib Lake, WI, and they resided in Neenah ever since. Dorothy preceded him in death on March 31, 2011. Wayne was employed with Kimberly-Clark from 1962 until his retirement in 1999. He will be remembered for his good sense of humor, his practical jokes and his love of cribbage. Wayne was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Neenah. Survivors include his four children: John (Karen) Kain, MaryAnn (Jerry) LaPine, Lisa Stadtmueller, Susan (Dave) Schindler; seven grandsons: Bryan (Deana), Matthew, Michael, Justin, Tom, Danny and Jacob. He is further survived by his two sisters: Marion Steffes, Mildred Mayer; two brothers: Morris and Floyd; and a special niece, Betty (Dave) Blasel. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013, in the Star of Hope Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton. The visitation will be held in the chapel from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. The family would like to thank Theda Care Hospice for all their care and compassion.
