MARGARET CARLSON

Margaret L. Carlson, Neenah, age 74, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2009 after a 2 year stay at Greenville Manor. She was born on March 22, 1935 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Erik Hilding and Iri Margreta (Alvine) Peterson. On September 8, 1956 she married Philip Willard Carlson in Mount Prospect, IL. Their union was blessed with three children and 51 years before Philip preceded her in death on Christmas Day, 2007. Louise was a long-time member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Neenah, where she also worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed singing in the choir, sewing, reading, and entertaining family and friends for spur-of-the-moment meals. Louise will be sadly missed by her children: Greg (Dawn), New Richmond, Todd (Deb), Merrimac, Teri (Robert) Werner, Greenville; grandchildren: Carissa, Guy (Brooke), Kayla, and Karrin Carlson, Kiersten (Ryan) Huelsemann, Elin (Jeff) Holmes, Kia Carlson, Elizabeth and Andrew Werner, Kirsten and Chris Hanson; half-brothers: Bob Christiansen, St. Paul, MN, John (Joanne) Peterson, Chicago, IL; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Harry Christiansen, and brother, Len Peterson. The Funeral Service for Louise will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Neenah with Rev. Catherine A.K. Mode officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 P.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home and again on Friday morning from 10 A.M. until the hour of service at the church. Louise will be laid to rest on Friday afternoon next to her husband at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah. In lieu of flowers donations in Louises name are appreciated to the Our Saviors Building Fund. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Greenville Manor, 2nd floor at Theda Clark Medical Center, Vallhaven, and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for all of your care and compassion.
