MARIAN POMRENING

Marian I. Pomrening, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, November 22, 2011 at the Valley VNA Center. She was born on April 2, 1930 in Britton, South Dakota, daughter of the late Isaac and Clara (Guyot) Hart. She married Maurice Dyer in 1952, he preceded her in death in 1983. She was re-married in 1988 to Edward Pomrening, and he passed away in 1990. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Winnebago Archers, and a member of a close-knit group of friends who formed a card club in the early 1950s. Marian was a long-time volunteer for the local Red Cross chapter. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and traveling. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Deborah (Jonathan) Sandberg; her son: Jeff (Suzanne) Dyer; her granddaughters: Lara (Lawrence) Eslinger and Kristen (Jordan) Gaiche; brothers: Roy (Fran) Hart, Lyle (Ruth) Hart. In addition to her parents and her two beloved husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Scott Dyer. The Funeral service for Marian will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Grace Imathiu officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for the American Cancer Society.
