She was born on May 11, 1928 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Peter and Florence (Patrick) Maney. On September 17, 1949 she married Clifford Carlson in Three Lakes, Wisconsin, and the marriage was blessed with two sons, two daughters, and 47 years before he preceded her in death on July 19, 1997. Bonnie was a generous and hard-working woman who was talented in music, enjoyed playing her accordion, and loved knitting, quilting, and reading. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Sue (Jack) Abhold, Neenah, Jaynie Hoes, West Bend; her sons: Peter (Kathryn) Oshkosh, Chris (Kelly), Waupaca; six grandchildren: Tim (Micky) Abhold, Andy (Michelle) Abhold, Rocky (Christie) Hoes, Brady (Jennifer) Hoes, Tayler and Peyton Carlson; three great grandchildren: Jacob and Alison Abhold, Adelaide Hoes. She is further survived by a sister, Connie Campbell, Milwaukee; two brothers: Jerry (Connie) Maney, Sugar Camp; Tom (Toni) Maney, Rhinelander; sister-in-law, Delores Smith, Menasha; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, and her beloved husband, Clifford, she was preceded in death by seven sisters and four brothers. Holding true to Bonnies wishes, no public service will be held and her body will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park after a brief private family service at her graveside. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bonnies name can be made to the Town of Vinland First Responders.

I am sorry for your loss Pete, Sue, Jaynie, Chris and families. There are so many mixed emotions now as when my mom died. I was glad for the wonderful memories and glad for the suffering to end but very much missing the person she was before the latest illnesses. I am thinking of you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection. Please allow God's Word to strengthen you and help you to endure this most difficult time.
