Obituary
Bonnie Mae Hetzel, 82, of Neenah, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011, at Colony Oaks Care Center. Bonnie was born February 22, 1929, in Neenah, the daughter of Harvey and Alma (Discher) Johnson. Bonnie graduated from Neenah High School, class of 1947, and on October 23, 1948, was united in marriage to Neil R. Hetzel at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Neenah. They lived in Neenah their entire married life. Bonnie worked as a soda maker at Barnets Drug Store and later at Jandrys Department Store until she retired in 1985. Bonnie had a love for animals, especially her dogs. She enjoyed playing golf and traveling with Neil whenever they could. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Neil; their three sons: Michael Scott (Ginnie) Hetzel, Hortonville, and their son, Jeffery; Steven Robert (Donna) Hetzel, Neenah, and their children: Angela, Stephany, Brittney, and Justin; and Jerry Lee (Sharon) Hetzel, Neenah, and their children, Eric and Emily; She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Alexander and Betty Livingston; and four brothers: Harley, Gerald, Donald and Larry. The Funeral Service for Bonnie will be Friday, December 2, 2011, 1:30 p.m., at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Colony Oaks for the comfort and care they shared and gave to Bonnie.

Until I viewed Bonnie's Photo I did not know her last name as being Hetzel, as we have close friends in Hilbert also with that last name..Bonnie & I were Class mates at Ole Neenah High..Due to prolonged illness and missing school I was forced into dropping into the Class of 48' Bonnie was a special person Our deepest Sympathies to her Family..

I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection.
