JAMES WEINKE

James L. Weinke, age 67 of Neenah, joined his best friend and father in the arms of the Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2011. He was born April 15, 1945 to Dorothy (Redlin) and the late Robert Weinke. Jim will always be known as a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and retired Fire Fighter for the Neenah Fire Department. He was also very active in the Elks club. In his free time, Jim enjoyed the game of golf and watching Packer games. Jim will be greatly missed by his wife of almost 45 years, Linda (Benke); his two children: Doug (Trish) Weinke; and Bree (Eric) Steif; two grandchildren: Kaelyn and Hunter Weinke; his mother; and his brother, Thomas Weinke. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews: Jane Plutz; Sara Flater; Amy Wilcox; Matthew Gelb; and Sam Benke. A memorial service for Jim will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Neenah, Rev. Paul Huxtable officiating. Visitation will be at church from 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Military Honors will follow. Visitors are welcomed to join the family in a social gathering at Neenahs Eagles Club immediately following the service to share some more memories of Jim. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jims name may be made to the Elks National Foundation Scholarships.
