MARJORY NIELSEN

Marjory Ruth Nielsen, 85, 4100 N. Mountain Road, Wausau, formerly of Neenah, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Marge was born July 6, 1925 in Neenah, the daughter of the late Fred and Renata Kuehl (Falck). She graduated from Neenah High School in 1943. On May 22, 1948 she married her high school sweetheart, Stanley E. Nielsen. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2010. Marge was employed with the phone company in Neenah and Appleton, retiring from AT&T in 1985. She then helped her mother retire and close the R&R Yarnshop in downtown Neenah. Marge enjoyed knitting, playing cribbage, weekends at Loon Lake with family and friends, traveling, and cheering for the Packers. She was an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Neenah until moving to Wausau in 2007. Marjory is survived by her son, Todd (Evie), Wausau; her grandchildren, Sarah, currently in Santa Barbara, CA, and Eric, Stevens Point, WI. Visitation will be at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Neenah beginning at 10:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am on Friday, June 24, with Reverend Catherine A.K. Mode officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent in Marjorys honor to Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Neenah. The family would like to thank the staff of Wellington Place for their compassionate and loving care.
