GEORGE MARTIN

George A. Martin, age 78 of Neenah, died peacefully Monday, June 27, 2011. He was born November 20, 1932 to the late George N. and Kathryn (Brantmeier) Martin in Menasha, WI. On May 31, 1952, he married Margaret Ebel. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2004. George served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1960. He then worked for American Can for over 40 years. George loved watching TV, especially the Packers and Brewers. He also enjoyed helping out on his familys farms and taking trips as the Donut Man to Marion. George is survived by his daughters: Barbara (Ronald) Sauer of Marion and their children: Charles Sauer, and Melinda (special friend Tony Seefeldt) Sauer; Nancy (Dan) Seelow of Neenah and their children: Nicholas Seelow and Anthony (special friend Alayna) Seelow; and Patricia (Jim) Carlson of Greenville and their children: Martin (Lauryn) Carlson and Adam (special friend Aubry) Carlson. He is further survived by his great-granddaughter, Makayla Sauer; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and special neighbors. George was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew; and his sister, Audrey Sewall. A graveside service for George will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah, with full military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff of Brewster Village for all their wonderful care.
