JERRY STURGIS

Jerry Don Sturgis, age 69, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born May 19, 1939, son of the late Hazel A. (Erdmann) and Harrison I. Sturgis Sr. He married Jeanne Malouf in 1961. Jerry was a Neenah resident all of his life. He owned and operated his own barber service for many years. Jerry enjoyed playing cribbage and visiting with customers and friends. He is survived by three sons: Shaye (Christine) Sturgis, Neenah, Brad (Michele) Sturgis, and Wade (Sophia) Sturgis both of Tampa Bay, FL; eight grandchildren: Gabrielle Crain and Kyle, April, Brad Jr., Hayden, Jayden, Jordan, and Jared Sturgis; three great grandchildren: Marcus, Ayden, Makenzie; three brothers: Harrison (Betty) Sturgis Jr., James A. (LaVerne) Sturgis, Jack W. (special friend, Midge) Sturgis, all of Neenah; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his ex wife, a grandson, Justin Sturgis, and a sister-in-law, Donna Sturgis. A funeral service for Jerry will be held Sunday, May 10, 2009, 5:00 pm, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with the Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jerry's honor.
