JOAN JANSEN

Joan H. Jansen, age 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was born on September 6, 1927 to the late Gregory and Hedwig Grenzer. Joan married Gerald Jansen in 1945 and their marriage was blessed with seven children. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, genealogy, and playing cards at the senior center. Joan treasured the times she was able to travel, especially when she was able to go to Europe. She was an avid volunteer who worked at the Salvation Army and other organizations. 

Joan is survived by her children: Tom (special friend Karen) Jansen, Diane Jansen, and Gregg (Tammy) Jansen; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Jansen; children: Mary Jansen, Dennis Jansen, Steve Jansen, and Karen Rademaker.

The funeral service for Joan will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, with Rev. Jim Leary O.F.M Cap. officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the hour of service. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery in Menasha.
