Obituary
Mildred H. Brecklin, Millie Mom Gramma , age 96, joined her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 27, 2012. Millie was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on August 22, 1915. She worked as a dental assistant until she married Arthur Brecklin on November 3, 1949. She managed the kitchen at Ridgeway Country Club while Art was general manager, after which time they owned at Operated Brecklins Viking Supper Club for 25 years, where many enjoyed regular weekend visits. She was a member of St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Winchester and served as church organist for many years. Millie was an avid reader and kept busy knitting and crocheting treasures for family and friends. She is survived by her four daughters: Barb (Doug) Mayer, Nashville, TN, Nancy (Mike) Kinney, Winchester, Katy (Steve) Plein, New Port Richey, FL, Bette (Bob) Craanen, Appleton; eight grandchildren: Zachary (Lindsay) Mayer, Ryan (Stephanie Poninski) Mayer, Erin (Kevin) Luedke, Will (Deborah) Kinney, Ben (Julia Cerney) Kinney, Jacob Plein, Daniel Plein, Derek Craanen; three great grandchildren: Edyn Mayer, Jacob Kinney, Ethan Luedke; a brother, Richard (Dolly) Schmidt; sister, Mary Milliken; sister-in-law, Sandy Schmidt; along with nieces, nephews, friends old and new. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, two brothers, and three sisters. The Christian Funeral for Mildred will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Living Water Ev. Lutheran Church in Oshkosh (1585 S. Oakwood Road) with Rev. John Brandt and Rev. Brian Krueger officiating. Friends will be received directly at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be St. Peters Cemetery in Winchester. A memorial has been established for Park View Health Center where Millie received loving care from many wonderful people who came to know her. Barb, Nancy,Katy and Bette,I have so many wonderful memories of "Aunt Millie". She had a wonderful smile, laugh, sense of humor.And always so kind and loving to us when we'd visit for Thanksgiving. I remember listening to her beautiful piano playing too. Dad said she's in heaven playing piano/organ again.He will miss her. Love, Dawn Timmers(Dick and Dolly's daughter)

I know your mom from Parkview. My mom was also there so we all became friends. I enjoyed your mom, she was such a sweet lady. I'm sorry she passed on. Celebrate her well lived life!

Dear Barb, Nancy, Katy, Bette and families: I was so sad to hear of your mom's passing. Some of my most treasured memories are the wonderful Thanksgiving's spent at the Viking. I can still recall being in the kitchen with Aunt Millie and "helping" her cook! She was loving, patient, generous and caring and I feel blessed to be her niece.
