NANCY NERENHAUSEN

Nancy Nerenhausen, 79, of Neenah, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at her home with several family members present. Nancy was born in Neenah on September 17, 1932, the daughter of the late Addison and Laura (Drews) Doane. She was united in marriage to Gerald Corky Nerenhausen on January 19, 1952, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah. Corky preceded her in death December 28, 2009. Nancy graduated from nursing school and was employed as an LPN with Theda Clark Medical Center and Kimberly-Clark Corp. As a busy mom, she also spent time as a Boys and Girls Scout leader. Nancy enjoyed music and expressed it as being an organist, playing the flute in the High School and the Community Band and was a long standing tenor choir member. Nancy and Corky were members of Calvary Bible Church, Neenah. They had so much love and desired a larger family, so they adopted two daughters from Korea, Malee and Nina. Nancy and Corky always loved to travel with memorable trips to Hawaii, Europe and the Holy Land. In their later years they traveled with their great-grandchildren, Alex and Christina. They also liked to find special places to dine. Survivors include five children: Laura Kloeckner, Missouri; Keith (Carole Koehn) Nerenhausen, Little Chute; Todd Nerenhausen, Florida; Malee Nerenhausen and Nina (Candelario) Pena, California; five granddaughters: Jessica, Emily, Kayla, Rachel, and Hannah; four great-grandchildren: Alexander, Christina, Emmalee, and Gabriel; a sister, Barbara (Leo) Coonen, Missouri, and a stepbrother Tom McKee. She was preceded in death by her stepbrother Don McKee and her stepmother, Viola McKee Doane. The memorial service for Nancy will be Thursday, June 7th, 2012, 11:00 a.m at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Ribble, Calvary Bible Church, officiating. Interment was held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m until the hour of the service. A luncheon following the service will be at Choices, 1338 S Commercial (Behind Neenah Eagles). In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Nancys honor.
