MAIGA MEIMANIS

Maiga L. Meimanis, age 95, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at her home with her beloved son Bruce at her side. She was born on January 12, 1916 in Latvia, daughter of the late Juri and Paulina (Kiimell) Sprogis. On December 24, 1939 she married Fredricks J. Meimanis in Riga, Latvia. The couple moved to the United States on June 6, 1950, where Maiga worked as a Nurses Aide at Theda Clark for 13 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Appleton Christian Womens Club. She is survived by her son, Bruce Randolph; grandchildren, Rhonda Seiller and Nick Rinhardt; great grandchildren, Cory, Cris, and Adam. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Alfa Ferguson. The Memorial Service for Maiga will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church Chapel with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
