RUTH BONESS

Ruth E. Boness, 92, of Menasha, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Theda Clark Medical Center. Ruth was born April 18, 1919, in Menasha, the daughter of Patrick and Pauline (Messman) Hussey. She was a Menasha resident all of her life. Ruth was married to Carl Boness and they were blessed with four children. He preceded her in death April 26, 1985. Ruth was employed for many years at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Menasha, and served on their Altar and Servers committees. In her earlier years she was active with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Ruth enjoyed sewing, reading, doing word searches, and watching the cooking channels on TV. Survivors include her three daughters: Susan Beschta, Menasha, Priscilla (Lloyd) Haueter, Larsen, and Alice Jean A.J. Boness, Menasha; her son, Carl Gerald Boness, Saxeville; and five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sister, Margaret Pritchard, and son-in-law, John Beschta. A Memorial Service for Ruth will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church with Rev. David Skarsten officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
