DOLORES DANIEL

Dolores C. (Popp) Daniel, age 83, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011, after an extended illness. Dolores lived in Appleton briefly, and then moved to Neenah where she attended St. Patricks grade school, Springroad Elementary School, and graduated from Neenah High School in 1945. She attended the University of WI, Madison and then worked at Valley Printing prior to marrying William Daniel in 1948. Dolores was a loving wife and mother, who later in life discovered that she had a flair for decorating. She worked as an interior designer at Pranges prior to opening Dolores Daniel Dcor in the early 70s, and assisted in real estate operations throughout much of her married life. She is survived by her husband, William; her son, Jeff; daughter, Lisa Rollins; and sisters: Marilyn Knorr and Joan Robinson; and brother-in-law, Harland Ziemke. Grandchildren include: John Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, Jeff Kennedy, Carrie Ann Kraemer, Robert Kennedy, Natasha Rollins and William Alexander Rollins; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Sophie Popp; and sister, Evelyn Ziemke. Dolores was a gregarious person with a quick smile. Her interests included boating, golfing and downhill skiing with her family. She was a long time member of the Tuesday Club, and Ridgeway and Riverview Country Clubs. Additionally, Dolores was the program director of Tuesday Club for many years, was active on the committee to save the Neenah Bell Tower, and helped secure volunteers for the local Girl Scouts. She also was a Pink Lady at Theda Clark Hospital in the gift shop. Dolores had a positive attitude with family and friends. To her we say, Good life, well done and God speed. A Funeral Mass for Dolores will be held Wednesday, October 12, 11:00 A.M., at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah, Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Entombment will be at Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum.
