ALICE PERKET

Alice M. Perket, age 83, passed away on Thursday morning, October 20, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 7, 1928 in Norway, Michigan, daughter of the late Roy and Irene Cantrill. On July 3, 1948 she married Wesley W. Perket at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Spalding, Michigan. Alice is a former president of the TOPS Club in Neenah, and a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Neenah. Alice enjoyed watching the Judges on T.V., reading the Harlequin Romances, playing slot machines, and weekly trips to Goodwill and Walgreens. Alice was also a very loving and generous soul and enjoyed tea parties with her grandchildren, and spoiled them with money out of her little red wallet. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 63 years, Wes; her sons: Michael Perket, Wild Rose, William (Kerry) Perket, Newport, VT, Mark (Chris) Perket, Darboy; her daughters: Diane (Todd) Sawyer, Poygan, Cindy (David) Lindquist, Hortonville, Cheryl Perket, Menasha, Sandy (Joe) Miller, Neenah; her grandchildren: Ron Jape, Mike Perket, Tim OBrien, Jackie and Ashley Perket, Brittany Lauson, Caitlin and Julianna Miller; three great grandchildren; two special girls, Alicia Frank and Angie Smolinski; her brother, Ron (Peggy) Cantrill, sisters-in-law: Donna Farison, Dorothy St. Julianna, Melvida Griener; brother-in-law, Wallace (Carol) Perket; many nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Lois and Betsy, who were always there for Alice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Harry; and two sisters, Anita and Evelyn. The Funeral Service for Alice will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Neenah with Pastor Grace Imathiu, Pastor Tony Fuller, and Pastor Jeff McGregor co-officiating. Friends will be received directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in the Township of Spalding Cemetery in Michigan. A very special thank you to the nurses and staff on the Second Floor of St. Es, who referred to Alice as a Spitfire. Your kindness and compassion were very much appreciated.
