PHYLLIS ANDERSEN

Phyllis F. Andersen, of Menasha, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 2, 2011. She was born March 11, 1933 in Watertown, WI, daughter of the late Theodore and Florence (Raabe) Sell. Phyllis married John Andersen on January 6, 1955 in Watertown. She worked as a telephone operator for Wisconsin Telephone, and then AT&T, in both Racine and Appleton for more than 22 years. Phyllis was an active member of St. Patricks Catholic Church and in years past was a long-time volunteer with St. Joseph Food Pantry. While the great joy of her life was being a mother and grandmother, her family was most proud of her living with Type 1 diabetes for more than 69 years. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John; three children: Mary (Peter) Jones, Bartlett, IL, Tom Andersen, Appleton, Karen (Mark) Boettner, Waunakee; five grandchildren: Jessica Andersen, Natalie Andersen, Caitlin Boettner, Emily Jones and Max Boettner. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 320 Nicolet Blvd, Menasha, with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Patricks Parish or a charity of your choice.
