GERTRUDE WORM

Gertrude Worm, age 93, of Neenah, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 20, 2011 at her home, surrounded by family, after a brief illness. She was born on November 13, 1917 in Baldwin Mills, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Emil and Alma (Prellwitz) Bigalke. On November 7, 1936 she married John A. Worm in Baldwin Mills, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in 1979. Gertrude was employed by Kimberly-Clark. She was a long-time member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Neenah. Gertrude enjoyed exercising, playing cards, dancing, gardening, and Union Retiree meetings. She will be sadly missed by her son, John J. (Joyette) Worm, Neenah; her grandchildren: Kim (Jeff) Freier, Greenville, Kevin Worm, Menasha, Kelly (Lori) Worm, Larsen, Kara (James) Henschel, Neenah; great grandchildren: Ashley (Kyle) Bessette, Appleton, Amber (Christian) Proctor, Neenah, Andy (Fiancee Kjrsten Allen), Neenah, Katisha Henschel, Neenah, Jordan Henschel, Neenah; great-great grandchild, Morgan Bessette; sisters, Margaret Bayer, Neenah, Louise (Elmer) DeGroot, Florida, Ardis Peterson, Neenah; sisters-in-law, Delores Bigalke, Neenah, Dorothy Worm, Menasha. In addition to her parents and her loving husband, John, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Eleanor (James) Schultz, Alma (Arnold) Oppor, Emil (Doris) Bigalke, Alfred (Lucille) Bigalke, Edvin Bigalke; brothers-in-law, Roy Peterson and Lawrence Bayer. The Christian Funeral Service for Gertrude will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church with Pastor D.J. Engelbrecht officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Memorials in Gertrudes name are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and staff of the Martha Seikman Cancer Center and the staff of Hospice Advantage, especially nurses: Lisa, Sara, and Candy; for their care and compassion.
