BARBARA KRAUS

Barbara Ann Kraus, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, age 69, passed away unexpectedly early April 22, 2011. She was born March 27, 1942 to the late Stanley and Grace (Golomski) Ostrowski. On June 27, 1964, she married Robert Kraus, Sr. Barb was a very family oriented person; having put her grandsons before everything. She was very supportive in all that they did. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and cooking for large amounts of people. She was also very active at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Menasha, having been a part of the hospitality committee, and cooking for many funerals and youth groups, and visiting for many shut-ins. She will forever be remembered as Precious. Barb is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bob, Sr.; her children: Jody (Jeffrey) Mainville; Judy (Keith) Peterson; Bobby (Wendy) Kraus, Jr.; seven grandsons: Nicholas, Bryan, and Adam Mainville; Josh (Naomi) and Brett Peterson; Hayden and Jake Kraus; her Godchildren: Mike Waksmonski, Kerri Gullickson, and Kamie Ogden. She is further survived by her sisters: Arlette (Frank) Waksmonski; Mary Jane Briggs; and Sandra (Butch) MacDonald; her mother-in-law Elvira Kraus; and her brothers-in-law: Dennis (Letha) Kraus and Ron (Dottie) Kraus; as well as many special nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Ostrowski, Jr.; and father-in-law Elmer Kraus. A memorial service for Barb will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Menasha, Rev. David J. Skarsten officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Barbs name. You will be in our hearts forever and always.
