Obituary
Mary R. "Riet" Bavinck, Neenah, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 13, 2009 at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born February 3, 1926 in Holland, daughter of the late Peter and Bertha (Geitman) Rietveld. Mary married Cornelis Bavinck in Holland. They moved to the US in 1952 and settled in Wisconsin where they raised a family. Mary enjoyed knitting and sewing and donated items to hospitals and schools for children. Survivors include seven children: Marretje Rangel, Petronella Pampel, Cornelis Casey (Paula) Bavinck Jr., Gerry Weyenberg, Anthony Bavinck, Robert Bavinck and Catherine (Daniel) Nielsen; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and four brothers: Jerry (Margie) Rietveld, John Rietveld, Ted (Colleen) Rietveld and Tony (Donna) Rietveld. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelis; four brothers: her twin brother Frank, Peter, Ary and Ray. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the hour of service.

I have great rememberance to her during our last visit to her together with Marry. your Mom was so nice tomeet. She was vry satisfied with her new home. I had the pleasure of being Mary's nurse during her visits to Vallhaven. I enjoyed joking around with her, & was sad to hear of her passing. God Bless her family! P.S. Carrie- I miss you. Hope you are doing well!
