Obituary

Jean Andreas, Age 76, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Cherry Meadows. Jean was born September 7, 1933, in Fond du Lac; daughter of the late Bernard and Winifred (Wendt) Bergen. She was united in marriage on April 17, 1956 to Charles Andreas.

Jean worked as a medical transcriptionist at Theda Clark Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; two children: Charles H. Andreas, Neenah, Joy Lynn (John) Crosser, Weyauwega; seven grandchildren: Cody and Wes Henry, Melissa Crosser, Aaron Shaw and Alli Smith, Chris Andreas, Nicole (Chris) Garland; four great-grandsons: Alex, Andruw, Devin, and Tyler Garland; two great-granddaughters: Grace Victoria Crosser and Lillian Henry Rhode; a sister, Barbara (Harold) Senger, Rotonda West, FL, two brothers: Bernard (Deborah) Bergen, Henry Bergen, Fond du Lac, WI; a son-in-law, Jeff Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Doris and Kathy, and a daughter, Victoria J. Smith. Jean has chosen not to have a funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cherry Meadows Hospice and the American Cancer Society.

Our special thanks to Dr. Swanson and Mary Jo, as well as her hospice nurse, Tracey, and the very special staff at Cherry Meadows.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

Charles and family: I am Nyla Bock Musser originally from Calumetville. I am six months younger than Jean. We were in Sunday School and Confirmation together. Had many good times together. Was shocked to read of Jeans passing. Chuck I remember you and your family too. I now live in Black River Falls with my husband Louis. Having known the Bergen family for many years and yours too, we want to send our sincere sympathy to you and the family. Note; my brother Kenneth still lives in Calumetville. I will miss my buddy an awful lot. She was such a courageous person through out her whole ordeal. we can use her as an example. We will keep in touch and you can call on Bill and I anytime if we can help....
