EVELYN ROESLER

Evelyn S. (Huebner) Roesler died Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Rennes Health & Rehabilitation Center in Appleton. She was 98 years old. Evelyn is survived by her children, Volney L. Roesler, Carlyn L. Pingel, Nona M. Kyle, James I. (Susan) Roesler, Jerome W. (Katherine) Roesler, and Danny A. (Helen) Roesler; a sister, Erma Handrich; and her friend and sister-in-law, Ruth Huebner. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Willard C. Roesler, her parents, Fred and Alvina Huebner, her sons-in-law, Earl Pingel and William Kyle, her brothers, Charles Winter, Irvin Huebner, Elmer Huebner, Edward Huebner, and sisters, Clara Baehman and Bernice Huebner. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Evelyn truly enjoyed gardening and passed on her knowledge to her offspring. Evelyn spent many hours with her grandchildren teaching them gardening and handicrafts. She passed down skills and traditions that will be cherished by all. Evelyn lived with her son Volney who in later years was not only her companion but her caregiver; and thanks also to Dawn Dowling, Evelyn's friend and caregiver for many years. The Funeral Service for Evelyn will be Thursday, May 5, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Menasha, with Revs. Debra (Dee) Sim and Dean Pingel officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church until the hour of service. Burial will be in Dale Union Cemetery. Memorials in Evelyn's honor may be sent to St. Elizabeth's Hospital or Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
