Obituary
Ruth D. Huebner, age 100, of Clayton passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at The Waterford of Oshkosh. She was born on May 5, 1916 in Clayton, Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Ella (Luebke) Manteufel. She married Edward A. Huebner on June 21, 1941 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. Their marriage was blessed with two sons and 59 wonderful years before Edward preceded her in death on October 10, 2000. Edward and Ruth were the owners of Cloverleaf Cheese Factory, and Ruth was known as “The Cheese Lady.” Ruth was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran church in Clayton, where she was active in the Ladies Aid, and taught Sunday School for many years. Ruth loved cooking, and her family loved the meals that she prepared for them.
She is survived by her sons: Bryon (Debbie) Huebner, Omro; Edward Jr. (Phyllis) Huebner, Oshkosh; grandchildren: Kelly Huebner, Menasha; Ryan Huebner, Appleton; Colleen Huebner, Appleton; Troy (Donna) Huebner, Neenah; a great granddaughter, Zoe Huebner, Neenah. In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Edward, Ruth was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Lester (Ruth) Manteufel.
The Christian Funeral for Ruth will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church (3703 Fairview Road, Clayton) with Rev. Paul Meier officiating. Friends will be received directly at the church on Monday from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ruth's name may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
