BETTY BRAUER

Betty R. Brauer, age 73 of Menasha, passed away early Sunday, May 15, 2011. She was born February 27, 1938 to the late Clarance and Leona (Wilke) Brauer. Betty was a very caring person, having taken care of people all her life. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids as well as watching Wheel of Fortune, cooking, and canning tomatoes with her son, Chad. She also loved strawberries and was known as Rhubarb Betty. Betty is survived by her 6 children: Debe (Ron) Pyszora; James (Ann) Spears; Todd Spears; Connie (Joe) Seekins; Chad Thurber; Betty Jo Thurber; grandchildren: Gilbert Walbridge; Jody Walbridge; Laurie (Ryan) Maki; Joshua Spears; Arry (Terry) Nussbaumer; Robert Spears; Eli Spears; Ganelle Spears; Rory Spears; Cody, Tiana Rose, Onica; James Berg; Matthew Berg; Cathleen Berg; Chelsea Kohnke; Tayler Thurber; Jacob Thurber; and Phillip Salgado. She is further survived by 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Euhardy and Sharon (Ralph) Hawkins; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The funeral service for Betty will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, Rev. Ralph Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
