GERALD WOLF

Gerald W. Wolf, of Neenah, age 74, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Theda Clark Medical Center following a 30 year battle with Diabetes. He was born September 17, 1936 in Stockbridge, son of the late Alex and Iona (Pingel) Wolf. Gerald grew up in Stockbridge and then entered the military. Following service he married Sharon Muetzel on May 4, 1963. Gerald was very proud of the 45 years he was employed with the Neenah Foundry. He started as an entry level employee and retired as a Construction Sales Manager on October 8, 2001. Gerald loved reading western books written by Louis Lamour and many others. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play their many different sports. He collected Farmall M Tractor items. He enjoyed listening to Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves and he was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan. But most of all he enjoyed going out to lunch with his wife of 48 years. Survivors include his wife, Sharon; two children: Cindy Wolf, Anderson, SC, Tim (Mary) Wolf, Oshkosh; two grandsons: Ryan and Steven; a brother, Joe Earl (Shirley) Wolf, Neenah; a sister, Donna (Paul) Kaliska, Phillips, WI; three brothers-in-law: Robert Gobbo Kopplin, Milwaukee, Joe (Suzee) Muetzel, Urbandale, IA, Jerry (Barb) Muetzel, Janesville; a sister-in-law, Darlene (Loren) Nelson, Janesville; many nieces and nephews; and many friends including his special friends, Pat and Gus Mullen and Don Herzberg. He was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Kopplin, his brother Alexander Bud Wolf and his sister-in-law Katie Wolf. The funeral service will be held at Noon on Monday, May 23, 2011, at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home with Deacon Maury Reed officiating. The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name. The family would like to thank Dr. Curtis Baltz for all of his care and friendship. Also, thanks to the Theda Clark 2nd floor ICU staff for all their wonderful care.
