KEVIN SASSE

Kevin J. Sasse, of Oshkosh, age 47 passed away on May 10th, 2012. He was born February 23, 1965 in Mayville, Wisconsin, son of Donald and Phyllis (Bliss) Sasse. Kevin was raised in Oshkosh graduating from Oshkosh West High School in 1983 and then UW-Oshkosh. He married Sue Krause on July 24, 1993. Kevin was employed as a Sales Executive with OEC Graphics in Appleton. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and golfing. Kevin also enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. Additionally, Kevin had the unique experience of being blessed with a tight knit group of friends. Kevin was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Oshkosh where he served on the Church Council. A great father and husband, Kevin is survived by his wife, Sue; two daughters: Ashleigh and Becca; his parents, Donald and Phyllis Sasse; a brother, Michael (Joan) Sasse; nieces: Danielle, Melissa and Maggie Sasse; four uncles: Kenneth (Judy) Sasse, Paul (Jadwega) Bliss, Kenneth (Norma) Bliss, David (Ardith) Bliss; two aunts: Ruth (Donald) Werner, Grace (William) Leiden; two great-uncles: Newton Kester, Willert (Eleanor) Kester: a great-aunt, Alice Kester; mother-in-law, Shirley Strong; father-in-law, Earl Krause; two sisters-in-law: Cheryl (Joe) Bosko, Chris (Jocko) Johnson; a brother-in-law; Steve (Anne) Krause; nieces and nephews: Lindsey (Jonathan) Dunbar, Andrew Bosko, Gian, Gunther, Diedrich and Johanna Krause; Peyton and Sydney Johnson; and his cousins: Benjamin (Jennifer) Sasse, Joshua and Hunter Sasse, Lori Sasse-Jensen, Ronald (Brenda) Kester, Roy (Karla) Kester, Karen (Fran) Sedlachek, David (Pat) Kester, Vicki Buttery, Joy (Kem) Cunningham, Julie (Kelly) Higgins, Paul Bliss Jr., Lucia Nee Bliss, Yolanda Nee Bliss, Roxanna Bliss, Amy (Adrian) Tierney, Ann Bliss, James (Cheryl) Leiden, Lori (Scott) Shattack. Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents: Clifford and Edith Bliss, Elmer and Nina Sasse; a great-uncle, Arlin Kester; and a great-aunt, Joyce Kester. A Celebration of Kevins life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2580 W. Ninth Ave., Oshkosh, with The Rev. Timothy Routh officiating. The visitation will be held AT THE CHURCH from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. A luncheon at the church will follow. Interment will be at Wolf River Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name.
