LORRAINE STACKER

Lorraine "Mac" (nee McBrair) Stacker, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Port Charlotte, Florida, with her family by her side. She was born April 2nd, 1918, to Charles Edward McBrair and Jennie Rose Scoville in Marion Township, Wisconsin. After graduating from Red Granite High School, she attended Marquette University where she earned her degree in dental hygiene. She worked for Doctors Donavan and Kranner for many years as a dental hygienist in Neenah. She married Howard A. Stacker on November 17th, 1945 and they lived on Rainbow Beach and Villa Drive while raising their two daughters, Lynn and Gail. They remained lifelong members of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mac's volunteer activities included Ladies Aid, being a pink lady at Theda Clark Hospital and serving as a gray lady at Winnebago Mental Health Institute. She was also a member of AAUW (American Association of University Women). Mac especially enjoyed reading, playing bridge and golfing in Wisconsin and Florida with Howard. Her love of horses continued throughout her life. After the death of her husband in 1983, she spent the next 25 plus years visiting and living in Port Charlotte, Florida. Her older sister, Dr. Marian McBrair Davis started a college for adult learners in Port Charlotte and Lorraine received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts Studies degree from Florida Southern College in 1987. At the time of her death, she was a resident of South Port Square, where she lived in independent living. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jennie McBrair, her beloved husband, Howard Stacker, sisters: Marian McBrair Davis and Gladys Murray, and brother, Russell McBrair. Lorraine is survived by her devoted daughters, Lynn Marie (Jim) Klein, Gail Ann (Andy) Dudley, grandchildren: Erin (Brian) Benes, Elizabeth (Tom) Heidenberger, Alyssa Klein, Christian (Kristen) Klein and great-grandchildren: Jacob, Tyler and Haley Benes and Isabella Heidenberger. She is also survived by four nieces and other extended family. Mac was a beautiful, soft-spoken, gentle and loving person who will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 18th at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak Street, Neenah, with Rev. D.J. Engelbrecht officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. A memorial is being established in Lorraine's name for The American Heart Association or Trinity Lutheran Church.
