Obituary
Marian E. Eisch, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Oakridge Gardens. She was born on November 4, 1916 in Menasha, daughter of the late William E. and Ida Mae (Burts) Remmel. Marian was a waitress in the area from age 16 to 89 and had waited tables at Menasha Hotel, Theda Clark Cafeteria and Coffee Shop, and Club Tavern. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and loved shoes. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Barb (Ron) Hartzheim, Menasha, Sue (Bill) Clayton, Menasha, Debbie (Special friend Mark Wokosin) Demler, Oshkosh; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, the newest addition Mackensie, whom she hadnt yet gotten to see; 7 great-great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Eisch, daughter, Pamela (Eisch) Sanchez, great granddaughter Shannon Eick, two brothers, Gerald and Paul, special friend Jack Ludwikoski, and her favorite cat, Bucky. The Funeral Service for Marian will be held on Friday, November 26, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home with Deacon Gerry Schraufnagel officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Oakridge Gardens for their care and compassion during Marians stay with them.

I worked with Marian when I was in high school at the Theda Clark coffee shop. She was a wonderful person (and waitress) and taught me many things about life and serving others. I will never forget her life's lessons. She will be missed by many. My condolences to her extended family and friends.

We got to know Marian when she worked at the Theda Clark Coffee Shop with our daughter, Mary, who was in high school at the time. We saw her through the years, still waitressing at Club Tavern. What a remarkable lady! She had many woes but always remained cheerful and so glad to see us. We are fortunate that we knew her. Our sympathy to the family. She will be missed! Tom and Barb Bartz

I just heard of the passing of Marian Eisch. What a wonderful person; a very kind soul. Marian worked for my late father Charlie and late mother Anne at the Menasha Hotel for many years. There was never a more loyal, hard working and caring employee as Marian. My siblings and I grew up knowing Marian and her family. Marian would always look after us in the restaurant when our parents were busy. We always knew that we were safe and secure with Marian watching us. She was not shy about scolding us if we misbehaved. My family will always consider Marian Eisch to be a dear friend. I know that Marian had many obstacles that she faced in life, but she always had a smile to warm everyone's day. My parents sold the hotel in the early seventies and faced challenges of their own in the years after that. My sympathies, thoughts, and prayers to daughters Barbara, Sue and Debbie.
