EUGENE KOCH

Eugene N. Koch, age 82 of Neenah, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2010 at Theda Clark Hospital, into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born October 26, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa, to the late Hans and Jensine (Jensen) Koch. On March 29, 1942, Gene was confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Neenah, WI. He married Dolores Dolly Dorow on March 12, 1955. Gene dairy farmed all his life with his wife working alongside him, retiring in 1985. He resided in Apache Junction and Mesa, Arizona for 19 years during winter months with Dolly. He enjoyed his time spent there, where he had many neighbors and friends. Gene also enjoyed wood working during his retirement years. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dolly; two sisters: Myrtle (Gordon) Schroeder and Dolores Rieckmann; sisters-in-law: Lois Rieckmann; Julaine Dull; and Darlene Hopkins; nieces and nephews: Corinne (Tom) Blaauw; Dan Rieckmann; Zona (Gary) Bowe; Gary (Kelly) Hopkins; Katherine (Bob) Capps; and James (Alisa) Hopkins. He is further survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and special friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Gladys (Armond) Selle. The funeral service for Gene will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Neenah, Rev. Catherine A. K. Mode officiating. Visitation will be at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Genes name.
