ROBERT WERRES

Robert "Bo" Werres, was born September 24, 1947 in Racine and passed away at his home in Appleton on Sunday November 11 after an extended illness. Bo graduated from Rhinelander High where he excelled at baseball and swimming. He was passionate about all sports but specifically baseball and NASCAR. In his earlier years, Bo would most likely be found playing baseball; he was an outfielder for the Pabst Blue Ribbon fast pitch team and was recognized throughout his time with them as an exceptional ball player. If he wasnt at the ballpark, you could find Bo at one or another race track throughout the state " or the country. Bo's career passion was truck driving...he was a proud owner/operator semi truck driver and truly enjoyed traveling around the U.S. He was particularly proud of the opportunity to drive the (car) hauler for Dave Marcus, well-known NASCAR driver from Northern Wisconsin. Bo valued his family and friends and will be missed by all. He is survived by his daughter Lori and grandson Maxwell and former wives Donna Stevens Tucker and Tina Taege Werres as well as his beloved pets, Billy and Gracie. His parents Elizabeth "Betty" Hall and Alexander Werres and siblings Lorraine Fargen and George Hall preceded him in death. There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, December 1, 12:00 p.m until 4:00 p.m. at Pat's Tavern in Rhinelander. A light lunch will be provided.
