ARCHIE JUNGENBERG

Archie L. Jungenberg, age 84, of Neenah passed away on Friday morning, November 14, 2014 at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was born on January 6, 1930 in Neenah, son of the late Otto and Violet (Langford) Jungenberg. He married Jane A. Keil on October 15, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. The marriage was blessed with five children and 59 wonderful years together before Jane preceded him in death on January 21, 2010. He retired from Kimberly Clark 27 years ago, after 39 years of service there. He was a member of Martin Luther Church in Neenah. Archie loved fishing and hunting, basketball and football, especially the Badgers and the Packers. He was a handyman, and also loved woodworking. Above all, Archie was a family man, who adored his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his daughters: Lynn (Robert) Ekdahl, Neenah; LeAnn (Robert) Jungenberg-Klumb, Adams; Mary (David) Haertl, Florida; Vicki (David) Mayefski, Appleton; a son, Dr. James (Catherine) Jungenberg, Oshkosh; grandchildren: Kristin (Chris) Hughes; Gregory (Tanya) Jungenberg; Kathryn (Taylor) Schmidt; Elizabeth (Russ) Wruck; Michael Haertl; Bob Ekdahl Jr.; Stephanie Mayefski; Rachel (Adam) Stephenson; Benjamin Haertl; Joseph Mayefski; Theodore Ekdahl; Sarah Haertl; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Eileen (Michael) Cassadra, Lake Zurich, IL; a brother, Donald (Sharon) Jungenberg, Neenah; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, and his beloved wife, Jane, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Theodore, Harold, and Pearl. The Christian Funeral for Archie will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Martin Luther Church (436 S. Lake St., Neenah) with Rev. Tyler Shinnick officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday, November 16 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday AT THE CHURCH from 12:00 noon until the hour of service. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Archie's name may be given to Martin Luther Church.
