LOIS KALFAHS

Lois was born on June 19, 1927, in Oshkosh, WI. She passed peacefully, with her family by her side, on June 28, 2014 at Matthews House of Neenah, WI. The youngest child of Henry and Louise Cramer, she lived the majority of her life in Neenah, graduating from Neenah High School in 1945. Immediately after high school, she entered the working world, working for Kimberly Clark and Banta Publishing Company before marrying Edwin (Eddie) Kalfahs, Jr. on August 20, 1949. Their marriage of 63 years was blessed with 5 children: Laura (Mark) Brill, of Minnetonka, MN; John C. Kalfahs (Darlene), Neenah, WI; Kalen (Jim) Theusch, Franksville, WI; Sarah (Lance) Clough, Neenah, WI; and Edwin Kalfahs III, Madison, WI. Predeceased by her parents and siblings, she is survived by her children, sons-in-law and daughter-in-law, and is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She and Eddie loved to spend winters in Florida, and summers in Neenah, boating on Lake Winnebago. Lois was also an avid Scrabble player, and there was only 1 person who could beat her, and that was her neighbor, Marge! The memorial service for Lois will be held on Tuesday, July 1st, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 North Commercial Street, Neenah, WI, with visitation at church from 10:00 A.M. until the service. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donation to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lois's name. Our family extends our most heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Matthews House of Neenah and Generations Hospice for the loving and tender care of our mother in her final years.
