HAROLD NOLLENBERG

Harold R. Nollenberg, age 83, of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 15, 2012 at his home. He was born on February 4, 1929 in Clintonville, son of the late Avelt and Louisa (Jannusch) Nollenberg. On July 29, 1950 he married Ervie G. Nollenberg, the union was blessed with two sons, four daughters, and 61 years before Ervie preceded him in death on October 21, 2011. Harold was a machine tender at Badger Globe for 41 years, and retired in 1990. He was a member of Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church. Harold was a Jack of all trades who could fix anything. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, dancing, playing the accordion, sturgeon spearing, and time spent at the cabin in Big Falls. Those he leaves behind will miss his unique sense of humor, his quips, his contagiously friendly demeanor, and his handlebar mustache. He collected many things, and had a love for classic cars. Harold was always the life of the party, and above all, was a great provider for his family. He will be sadly missed by his son, Ronnie (Sharon) Nollenberg, Neenah; his daughters: Cheryl (David) Ziegler, Manawa, Connie (Dennis) Hedtke, Neenah, Debra Geiger, Fremont, Tina (Scott) Wagner, Kimberly; his grandchildren: Kari, Haley, Elise, Eric, Timmy, Samantha, Clinton, Chad, and Nikki; his seven great grandchildren; brothers: Carl, Newald, WI, Clyde (Marion), Waupaca, Raymond (Sue), Neenah; sisters: Fern Fuhrmann, Neenah, Carol (Pat) Cutler, Florida; sisters-in-law: Anita Nollenberg, Bean City, Joanie Nollenberg, Neenah; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents and is beloved wife, Ervie, he was preceded in death by a son, Darrell; son-in-law, Michael Geiger, a grandchild, David, a great grandchild, Jade; brothers, Leo and Leroy; and infant sister, Joyce; sister-in-law, Betty Nollenberg. The Christian Funeral for Harold will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church (436 S. Lake Street) with Rev. Jason Oakland officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will immediately follow the service in Oak Hill Cemetery, right next to his wife.
