Obituary
Wayne Burmeister, 79, of Neenah, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Wayne was born December 12, 1932, the son of the late Gilbert and Beatrice (Koletzke) Burmeister. He served in the United States Navy, a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, Wayne was employed for many years with Miller Electric. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Survivors include his sons: Scott Burmeister and Lee Burmeister, both of Menasha; granddaughters, Jessica and Tiffany; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dorothy. In following with Waynes wishes, no funeral service will be held. Westgor Funeral Home 205 W. My deepest sympathy to the Burmeister family! Burp was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by our family! My only consolation in all of this is that he and my dad Bob are now in heaven together - mom always said they did everything medical together. Guess she was right. Wanted you to know that we used the scrolled wood cross that your dad made dad years ago on his casket the day of his funeral, and had so many compliments! We will cherish Burp's friendship forever. Burp always called me his girlfriend, than would say don't tell her husband Mike. He was great at his wood working he made me a clock, and I will always treasure it.

I knew Burp from third st. Always something good to say, except that paratroopers were bird s@@t or fools. One old vet to another- I will miss seeing you at third and comparing stories with a true navy hero. Jerry

Burp was a great man. he treated everyone respectively as he should. all through my years of growing up he has given me many gifts hand made by himself. which meant so much at the time, and so much more now that i can cherish them. Burp was someone i looked up to smart, and wise.
