LINDA CARSTENS

Carstens, Linda Sue Lynn Linda Lynn Sue Carstens, nee Becher, age 62, passed away peacefully at her Greenville home on December 17, 2010 after a 3 year fight with cancer. Linda was born on July 24, 1948 in Sussex, Wisconsin to George and Marcella Becher. Linda is a 1966 graduate of Menasha High School and attended Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin. It was at Carroll College that Linda met her husband Jack E. Carstens. Linda and Jack were married in Chappaqua, NY on July 7th, 1968. Linda had an opportunity to reside in Waukesha, WI, Neenah, WI, Grand Rapids, MI, King of Prussia, PA and Marietta, GA returning to Neenah, WI in 1980. When Linda wasn't spending time with family, children, grandchildren and the family cats you would find her reading, listening to music, cheering for the Packers, enjoying gardening, and traveling. Linda is survived by her husband, Jack Carstens; daughter, Doreen Carstens; son William (Jennifer) Carstens and their children Jaeden and Jack Carstens; her mother, Marcella Becher; brother David (Kathy) Becher; niece, Michelle (Toby) Formiller; nephew T.J.(Dannielle) Becher, grand-nephews and niece: Kyle Becher, Trent Formiller, Carter Formiller and Maci Formiller. Pets are Fosse, Holly and Monty. She was preceded in death by her father, George Becher; aunt Margaret Mueller; uncle Elmer (Mabel) Becher. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22nd at St. Timothys Lutheran Church, 473 Seventh Street, Menasha, with Rev. David J. Skarsten officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers the family has established a fund in memory of Linda. The fund will support cancer patient treatments and services in the Fox Valley. The family extends their thanks to Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology for their wonderful care and compassion. The family also wishes to express our appreciation to the staff of ThedaCare at Home Hospice.
