RUTH KISSINGER

Ruth I. Kissinger, age 86 of Menasha passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 21, 2010. She was born May 29, 1924 to the late Albert and Florence (Berg) Heise in Green Valley, WI. On April 12, 1947, she married Marvin Kissinger, who preceded her in death June 23, 1989. Ruth was a very successful woman, having graduated from Hilbert High School in 1941 and then from Michael Reese Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She then worked at different doctors offices and at Theda Clark Medical Center, and referred to herself as an old RN. Ruth enjoyed traveling; having taken many bus trips. She also enjoyed spending summers on Silver Lake with family and friends and becoming a Snowbird in Zephyrhills, FL. She is survived by her daughters: Karen (David) Peterson and Kay (Jim) Wolf; and her grandchildren: Amanda Peterson; John and Jody Kissinger; and Alex and Maya Wolf; and daughter-in-law Ellen (Spilski) Kissinger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; and her son, John Kissinger. A funeral service for Ruth will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Menasha. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Alzheimers Association in Ruths name would be appreciated.
