AUDREY BLISS

Audrey E. Bliss, age 102, of Neenah, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Sterling House. Audrey was born January 28, 1908, in Menasha, the daughter of Herman and Ethel (Brandow) Hare. She was a graduate of Menasha High School and was class valedictorian. Audrey was married to Merle J. Bliss on June 11, 1927. They were married for 17 years. Audrey lived in Denver, Colorado for many years and moved back to the Fox Valley where she was employed as an executive secretary for Wisconsin Tissue Mills and John Strange Paper Company (Menasha Corp). She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Neenah/Menasha and participated in their Bible study group. Audrey was a kind and gentle woman and had many dear friends. She was so very generous, always remembering those in need. Her special interests included reading-her Bible first and then many interesting books. She enjoyed music very much and playing the piano. Audrey is survived by her close relatives: Dr. Kent and Jean Scholl, Neenah; Janet Scholl (John Sobiech), Richfield, WI; and Dennis (Carolyn) Scholl, Eagle River; and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Howard. A Memorial Celebration of Audreys life will be Monday, January 3, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at Sterling House, 2330 Bruce St., Neenah, with Rev. Lynne Spencer-Smith officiating.
