JANET MCGLYNN

Janet F. McGlynn, of Neenah, age 90, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, January 1, 2011. She was born August 20, 1920 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Edward L. and Winifred (Lett) Feser. Janet graduated from East DePere High School and then attended UW-Madison. Later in life she completed her degree in Communications at Roosevelt University in Chicago at the age of 60. Janet married Thomas J. Jim McGlynn in DePere on June 5, 1941. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2002. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading. Janet was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Survivors include five children: Kathleen Ashwill, Overland Park, KS, Kevin (Lois) McGlynn, Neenah, John McGlynn, Loveland, CO, Tim (Misty) McGlynn, Palatine, IL, Kelly (Colleen) McGlynn, Cornelius, NC; ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister-in-law, Leora Feser, Danville, CA; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael in 1969; and two brothers: Edward (Betty) Feser, Michael Feser. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 7, 2011, at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. The visitation will be held Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. The family would like to thank the staff of Villa St. Clare, where Janet resided for the past 3 years, for all of their wonderful care.
