BERNICE POCKAT

Bernice A. Pockat, age 87 of Neenah, passed away January 2, 2011. She was born February 8, 1923 to the late William and Lily (Arndt) Begrow in DuPont, WI. On October 9, 1941, she married the late Eddie Pocket who preceded her in death February 3, 1988. Bernice was a woman that liked to keep busy; one could always find her minding her flower beds. She also enjoyed crocheting and quilting with her sisters and cooking. She was a cook at Martin Luther School for 11 years and was well thought of for her abilities in the kitchen. She also greatly enjoyed family gatherings. Bernice is survived by her children: Daniel (Donna) Pockat; Darhl Brown; Laurie (Gary) Riha; her other daughter Tootie; and Bill (Sue) Fehrman; her grandchildren: Shannon (Joe) Mondlock; Saundra (special friend Cam) Riha; Billy Jo (Kathi) Fehrman; Janice (Brian) Bedner; Juanita (Jeremy) Kranz; Michelle (Brent) Bouche; Amy Fehrman; and Adam Fehrman; great-grandchildren: Hunter; Chase; McKenna; Braydon; Nicholas; Logan; Christian; Anthony; Kari Ann; Ashley; Lyndsay; Samantha; Travis; Ethan. She is further survived by her siblings: Adeline Pockat; Rose Carlson; Ruth Miller; Glen (Bernice) Begrow; Ervie (Harold) Nollenberg; William (Segrid) Begrow; Jean Neubauer; Carlton (Anne) Begrow; Gladys Begrow and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie; daughter LaVonne Fehrman; siblings: Irma Bestul; Dorothy Woodstrack; August Begrow; Margaret Krueger and brother-in-law Ervin Pockat. A funeral service will be held for Bernice Friday, January 7, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. Jason Oakland officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bernices name.
