Obituary
Jolene D. Thorson, age 45 of Appleton, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born April 12, 1967 to Nancy (Stern) and the late Wayne Moder. Jolene was a loving mother that greatly enjoyed spending time with her children. She had the gift of gab, and also liked to knit; making scarves to donate to Adopt-A-Family. She also loved pets, playing volleyball, and going up north to their cabin in Mountain. She will always be remembered as Cookie, who loved to drive her Jeep. Jolene is survived by her two children: Taylor and Kayla Thorson; her mother, Nancy; siblings: Theresa (Dale) Buhrandt; Peggy (Tim) Pamperin; Paul Moder; Chad (Lauren) Moder; many nieces, nephews, close friends and many past and present co-workers. She is further survived by the father of her children, Tim Thorson; and her dog and best buddy, Tamara. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne; and a brother-in-law, Mark Johnson. A memorial service for Jolene will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, Rev. Adam Bode officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
