MARION LARSON

Marion E. Larson, age 91, of Neenah passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Cherry Meadows with her family at her side. She was born on March 22, 1921 on the family farm in Weyauwega, daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Bauer) Carroll. After graduating from high school, Marion moved to Neenah where she met and married Edward J. Larson on August 27, 1940 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The marriage was blessed with two daughters, one son, and 47 wonderful years before he preceded her in death on April 17, 1988. Marion was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she used to sing in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and rooting for the Packers. Marion was a nurturer, she loved caring for her loved ones, and above all, loved spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Patricia (James) Erickson, Neenah, Mary (Art) Kucksdorf, Waupaca; her son, James (Frances) Larson, Neenah; grandchildren: Jean (Robert) Bridwell, West Virginia, Lisa (Will) Carew, Appleton, Sara (Brad) Zemke, Neenah, Jennifer (Adam) French, Cedarburg, Tina Kucksdorf, Appleton, Andrew Kucksdorf, Iowa; great grandchildren: Alyssa and Lauren Carew, Helena Bridwell, Jackson and Griffin French; a sister, Mildred Stern, New London; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Edward, she was preceded in death by her brother, Boyd Carroll and her great grandson, James Carew. The Christian Funeral for Marion will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Friends will be received on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Marion will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Neenahs Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
