JERRY BAILEY

Jerry Bailey, 69, Neenah, , was brought home by the Lord on July 31, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was born on May 27, 1943, to the late John A. Bailey and Mary "Faye" Bailey in O'Neill, Nebraska. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. He then worked at Old Country Bakery, San Diego, CA where he retired in 1999. Jerry enjoyed the company of others, nature and wildlife, vegetable gardening, travel and his love for his family. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought a true sparkle to Jerry's eyes. Jerry will be remembered for his kindness, strength and positive outlook on life. Jerry is loved and will be missed by his wife of 37 years, Marise (Hansen) Bailey; his daughter, Linda (Greg) Frazier, his sons, Larry (Amber) Bailey, Scott Bailey, Steven (Cindy) Bailey, Ryan (Martha) Bailey; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Also welcomed to Heaven by brothers, Jack, Jim and Joe. The Bailey family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Dar, Nell and the amazing staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic and Dr. Bessudo (San Diego). A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012, 4:00 p.m., at Peace Lutheran Church, Neenah, with Rev. Ricky Schroeder officiating. Full military honors will be held. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. Sunday until the hour of the service at the church. Burial will be in King Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Waupaca, August 20. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Jerry's name is being established.
