CAROL OLSON

Carol Susan Olson, of Neenah, age 77, was welcomed by her Lord and Savior into everlasting life on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Milwaukee on March 31, 1935, daughter of the late Frank and Katie (Pavlus) Milauc. After working for six years at the phone company, Carol attended Milwaukee County Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1959, where she was president of the nursing class. The class motto was: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding. Proverbs 4:7. It was apparent to those who knew her that she understood and lived that motto. Carol belonged to the Wednesday morning Quilters Group at St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neenah. She also enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, assembling jigsaw puzzles and taking spontaneous short trips with family and friends. For a couple of years she belonged to the Green Bay Chapter of Sweet Adelines joining a couple of friends for the love of singing. Carol held a precious collection of cherished family and friends in her heart. Her forever dream was to visit England and meet Peter OToole, her favorite actor. Carol is survived by her two sons: Eric Olson and his friend, Tina Schabow, of Neenah, Andy Olson, of Menasha; her brother, Frank Milauc, of Ann Arbor, MI; nieces: Marilyn (Bruce) Plaxton, of Schaumburg, IL, Susan (Jim) Clark, of Ann Arbor; and a nephew, Mark Milauc and his friend Nan, of Toledo, OH. Her extended family includes Chuck, MaryAnn, Karen, Mark, Jen, Nancy and Shelly. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 140 S. Green Bay Rd., Neenah, with The Rev. Stephen Dietzler officiating. The visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be donated to St. Marks Lutheran Church. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Pastor Dietzler and the staff of Cherry Meadows Hospice for the care given to Carol.
