Obituary
Age 84, died on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Crestwood Senior Living in Menasha. She was born on October 25, 1925 in Wisconsin Rapids, daughter of the late Reinhold and Alice (Seehagen) Krueger. She married Alfred H. Strozewski in her parents home in Wisconsin Rapids on January 9, 1945. Lucille and Alfreds life together began in Mather, WI where Alfred worked on a cranberry marsh for four years. After the birth of their second daughter they moved to Merrill where Lucille and Alfred worked side by side raising three daughters, a son and managing a cranberry marsh for 13 years before coming to reside in Neenah. Lucille was an avid sports fan; she enjoyed watching the Badgers, Brewers, and especially the Packers. She loved talking sports to all the boys at Bradkes restaurant where she faithfully worked for 35 years. Lucille loved the Lord, Church, Family, and the many friends she made throughout the years. Survivors include three daughters: Karen (John) Knabenbauer, Kathleen (Gene) Berndt, Deborah (Jeff) Doemel; a son, Harold Strozewski; 12 grandchildren: Nathan Knabenbauer, Scott (Ann) Knabenbauer, Tracey (Tod) Noffke, Pamela (Ryan) Starkenburg, Eric (Tia) Berndt, Kurt (Erica) Berndt, Jessica (Chris) Barber, Jason Doemel, Angela Doemel, Jeremy (Michelle) Strozewski, Nicole and Ashley Strozewski; 17 great grandchildren: Jillene Ehlers, Joel, Noah, Cody, Jordan, Faith, and Jonathan Knabenbauer, Aleczander and Nicolai Noffke, Taylor, Claire, Kendall, and Carter Berndt, Sophia and Katelyn Starkenburg, Ethan Richards and Jamison Strozewski. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Paul Michael at birth, one brother, Lester, and a granddaughter, Melissa. The Funeral Services for Lucille will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 7, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Friends will be received at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home on Monday evening from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday morning at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah. A memorial fund is being established in her name. A special thank you to the staff of Crestwood Senior Living: Shannon, Kattie, Kelly, Jessica, Terri, Tiffany, Michelle, Ashley, Peggy, Juliann; and Theda Care at Home Hospice; you all made a very special effort showing your love and concern for our mom. Your love, care, and concern will be revered and remembered by our family.

Aunt Lucille was a very special woman, and our memories of her include her caring, gentle manner, as well as her quick wit. She loved to tease and have fun. She was also always a good listener, and she had a way of making each person she came in contact with feel special. We loved her dearly, and we will cherish our memories of her. Chuck and Marianne
