GARY HELEIN

Gary B. Helein, age 57, passed away on Monday morning, December 14, 2009 at his home. He was born on January 2, 1952 in Neenah, Wisconsin; son of LaVerne (Lindgren) and the late Bernard Helein. On October 11, 1991 he married Kaycie Woolf at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Menasha. Gary played football for Menasha High School, from where he graduated in 1970 before proudly serving his country with the United States Air Force. He was a truck driver before SCA Tissue for 39 years. Gary will be revered as a hard-working, kind, loving man whose competitiveness helped him to excel at golf (he achieved two holes-in-one), racquetball, tennis, motorcycle racing, and working out at Neenahs YMCA. He and Kaycie enjoyed traveling, watching movies, and precious time spent with their children and grandchildren. Gary will be sadly missed by his wife, Kaycie; his daughters: Andrea (Clint) Woldt, Kaukauna, Rachelle Johnson, Menasha; his sons: Brad (Jeni) Johnson, Darboy, Josh (Ashley) Helein, Appleton; grandchildren: Allison and Carter Woldt, Max Johnson, Keaghun Nollenburg, Kayla Grunert, Jaden Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Neveah Porter, Blake, Maria, and Faith Helein; mother, LaVerne Helein, Menasha; sister, Linda (Joe) Bednarowski, Menasha; brother, Scott Helein, Menasha. A Memorial Service for Gary will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009, 6:00 P.M. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. David J. Skarsten officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Interment will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at St. Margaret Mary Cemetery in Neenah where full Military Honors will be performed. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The family wishes to thank Dr. Goggins and the staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, and the staff of Affinity Hospice for all of your care through Garys illness.
