Obituary
Mary Lou Gigi Johnson, age 59 of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 10. 2010. She was born November 23, 1950 to the late Steve and Mae (Beyersdorf) Kaminski. Gigi was a very spunky woman that will always be remembered for her compassion, love and generosity. She was an advocate for sponsoring orphans overseas and loved her grandchildren very much. Gigi was also a famous entertainer; owning three bars in the area: Pussycat Lounge, G&G Sportsman Tap, and Gigis Bar. Her business and her dogs were her world. Gigi is survived by her husband, whom she married in October of 1987, William Johnson; two daughters: Michelle Shelly (Leon) VanDeraa; Brandi (Charles) Larsen; grandchildren: Sabrina, Brittney and Matthew Johnson; Steven Beyer; Gigi Rae and Charlee Lou Larsen. She is further survived by her step-children: Mark (Nikki) Johnson; Jill (Brad) Hartwell; Jami Johnson; sister Susan (Bernard) Kadrlik; sister-in-law Marilyn (William) Resse; and her precious pups: Boots and Socks Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Darlene, and her brother Steve, Jr. Gigi will be sadly missed by her family friends, and past and present patrons. The funeral service for Gigi will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2010 from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and again Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service. The family would like to send a sincere thanks to all who have helped Gigi in her time of need, and especially to the Neenah Police Department and the First Responders.
