OLIVE ROWE

Olive C. Rowe, age 101, formerly of Neenah, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 2, 2010. She was born December 8, 1908 to the late Mose and Olivine Paquette. Olive was a very cultured woman; having grown up speaking French in her home. As a student at St. Marys High School in Menasha, Olive often acted as a substitute teacher for her language classes when the instructor wasnt available. She loved being with people and greatly enjoyed putting together her spectacular Christmas trees every year, and particularly loved dressing up as a hobo for Halloween. Olive had a great capacity for enjoying life in spite of it. Olive is survived by her children: Anne Rowe; Harlowe (Vicky) Rowe; Ernest Rowe; Donald (Anna) Rowe; and Gary Rowe; 14 grandchildren; as well as 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlow; her daughter, Yvonne; as well as all of her brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, Fr. James Leary officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Olives name may be made to St. Joseph Parish, Appleton.
