Obituary
Nadine Novotny, 86, town of Menasha, passed away Monday, October 4, 2010, at Crestwood Health Center. Nadine was born January 26, 1924, in Neillsville, the daughter of John and Nellie (Swann) Yankee. She was a graduate of Neillsville High School and was employed for several years with Pluswood Industries. Nadine loved taking drives. Her two favorite destinations were Hardees for morning coffee hour and the Wolf River Drive Inn in Fremont for strawberry shortcake. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Julene and David Hallock, Lenoir, NC; her two grandchildren she adored, Justin and Shauna; a sister-in-law, Arlyle Beyer; a niece Judy (Hank) Weyers; and her granddog, Kalli. The Committal Service for Nadine will be Friday, October 8, 2010, 1:00 p.m., at Shrine of Heaven Chapel, Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah, with Rev. Catherine A.K. Mode officiating. Inurnment will be in Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum. To the Staff at Irish Road and Villa: the words thank you will never be enough for loving and caring for Mom like family. You are my angels. My prayers to you for the loss of Nadine. My mother is also a resident of Irish Road, and I often sat at the table with Mom, Nadine and several others. She will be missed and that she was loved by the staff and other residents.

My life-long childhood friend's 'Gram' went to sleep and peacefully drifted away... Although we are all sad that she's gone, it was a blessing in disguise that she waited for Julie to come home and spend some special time with her before she let go. Grandma was truely a special lady and gave us lots of laughs and smiles. May she rest in peace with a clear mind. Lots of Love for the family, today in this time of mourning... and always.
