JOSHUA BEVERLIN

Joshua David Beverlin, of Menasha, age 20, passed away unexpectedly in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. He was born January 24, 1992 in Knoxville, TN, son of David and Jill (Orr) Beverlin. Josh graduated from Neenah High School in 2010. Because of his love of the French language he was currently a junior at Concordia University in Montreal studying French and Political Science. Josh was a certified Sailing Instructor in the US and Canada and spent several summers as an instructor with the Fox Valley Sailing School in Neenah and the last two years with Baie " dUrf Yacht Club in Montreal. He loved helping run races on Lake Winnebago and Lake Saint-Louis. Josh was a proud Democrat. He was passionate about his views and always ready to persuade you of their righteousness. He was a young man of sharp intellect, infectious humor, and deep passion for many things in life. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his parents, Dave and Jill Beverlin; his brother, Andrew Beverlin; maternal grandparents: William and Leatrice Orr, IA, Jerry and Sue Smith, IA; his paternal grandmother, Merry Beverlin, Neenah; aunts and uncles: Kim (Wayne) McCoy, IA, Jerry (Penny) Smith, IA, Mike (Marie) Beverlin, Menasha, Steve (Gail) Beverlin, OR; and numerous cousins and other relatives. Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Beverlin; and a cousin, Caleb Beverlin. The funeral service for Josh will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 N. Commercial St., Neenah, with Rev. Paul Holte officiating. The visitation will be held at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM and again at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Joshs name to the Fox Valley Sailing School, the Neenah Nodaway Yacht Club, the Neenah High School French Club, or the Winnebago County Democratic Party.
