NORMAN SAUER

Norman Sauer, age 92, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. Norman was born on July 17, 1920 in Neenah. On December 20, 1941 he was united in marriage to Irene Baker. Their children: Sally (Emert) Stacker, Jerry (Connie) Sauer, Mary Kaczmarek, John (Sandy) Sauer, and friend Julie, Debbie (Jeff) Thompson, Ronnie (Barb) Sauer; 11 grandchildren: Lynn Stacker, Becky and David (Kim) Sauer, Scott (Leann) Kaczmarek, Carey (Chris) Lee, Kevin Kaczmarek, Peter (Molly) Sauer, Jack (Tina) Sauer, Nicole (Joe) Grentzel, Mindy (Tony) Sauer, Charlie (Brooke) Sauer; great grandchildren: Benjamin, Emily, Olivia, and Elizabeth Stacker, Samantha and Grace Kaczmarek, Meghan Lee, Miles Sauer, Stella and Delaney Sauer, Makayla Sauer; a sister, Dorothy Kohler; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1981; his parents, Alvina and Otto Sauer; sisters: Alice and Mable; brothers: Art, Henry, Herman, Robert, and Adolph; two grandsons: Andrew and Jason; and a son-in-law: Ron Kaczmarek. In 1989 he married Arlene Wustrack. Her family includes: Carol Pick, Delores Markowsky, Debbie (Dave) Hill, Bob (Janel) Wustrack. Norman farmed in the Town of Clayton until his retirement. He was active in his church and enjoyed helping his neighbors, friends, and family. He enjoyed gardening and dancing. We feel so very blessed to have had a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church (3703 Fairview Road, Clayton) with Rev. Paul Meier officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Clayton. Our family would like to thank Oakridge Gardens and Heartland Hospice for their loving care shown to our husband and father during his stay.
